Hurricane Sally Update
Updated Oct. 26, 2020
As you know, Hurricane Sally caused widespread destruction to our area as well as our resort. Our team has been working tirelessly to clean and properly prepare the property in anticipation of reopening.
Unfortunately, Turquoise Place has to suspend all incoming arrivals until at least Nov. 21. While we look forward to welcoming guests back on Nov. 22, please know that things aren’t quite the same just yet at Turquoise Place. We want you to have the best possible vacation at your favorite Orange Beach resort, and we also believe in full transparency.
Please be aware of the following until further notice:
Construction Hazards
Please be aware while we are eager to welcome you back, there are construction hazards. Guests will be required to sign a hazard waiver prior to arrival. During your visit, you may encounter the following:
We do have some great news!
The previously planned balcony renovations have been postponed. This means you will have complete access to your spacious, Gulf-front balcony and all of its amenities, including balcony hot tub and grill. The fall is the perfect time to take in breathtaking beach views and even enjoy your condo’s gas fireplace, as well! However, as windows and balcony railings are replaced, some units will not have an accessible balcony. All efforts will be made to move guests to units with accessible balconies. This will mainly affect four-bedroom condos over the next few months.
In a typical year, cooler weather in the fall and winter deter guests from using outdoor amenities like pools and lazy river, so hopefully, the absence of these specific amenities will not be too hard a pill to swallow. Also in a typical year, Change of Pace and the Spectrum Club Lounge close at the end of October, so the closing of these amenities in the fall and winter are par for the course.
We are not quite ready to accept reservations at this time. We will notify everyone once we open reservations back up. Please know we are working hard to welcome you back and to once again fill the resort with families creating happy memories.
If you currently have a reservation for arrival prior to Nov. 22, it is in the process of being canceled. There is no need to call to cancel or inquire about the status of your cancelation. If you have not been refunded yet, you will be refunded within the next few days. It takes 5-10 business days for refunds to appear back on your card.

Appreciation for our Team Members
Many of our Spectrum team members are dealing with their own personal devastation. We love our team and are working hard to provide support for them. If members need help filing with FEMA, we are assisting with the process. We have also been feeding team members and workers at the resort during this time. Our individual owners have been a wonderful help with monetary donations to team members. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We also have a fund for emergency situations that will help team members with significant damage. Thank you for the continued support, patience, love and prayers as we continue working to welcome you back!
