Eva Faircloth - November 10, 2021The holidays are here and heading to Orange Beach is a great way to guarantee a season that’s merry and bright. Just picture it – holiday meals you don’t have to cook (or clean up after), sandcastle snowmen that don’t make you shiver, and long strolls down miles of scenic shoreline. Add in days of festive family fun and you’re well on your way to a wonderful holiday season!

Enjoy a Fuss-Free Thanksgiving Feast
If you’re taking a Thanksgiving trip, visit our sister resort, The Beach Club, for a delicious Thanksgiving feast. On Thanksgiving Day, dine at the resort’s Coast Restaurant and let their team of culinary masters serve you a traditional feast full of holiday flavor. The three-course menu includes a hearty main course that offers your choice of roast turkey, house-made smoked salmon, or marinated Berkshire pork, each with savory sides and all the trimmings. Seatings are available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and reservations are required.
If you prefer to dine in the comfort of your condo, let The Beach Moms deliver the Thanksgiving turkey right to your table! This family-style dinner includes options for 6 or 12 and includes rich roasted turkey, mashed potatoes with country dressing, green bean casserole, and more. Best of all, delivery is free if you sign up for a Beach Mom’s Concierge Package!

Holiday Events
Kick off the holiday season on December 4 at Santa’s Ride through the City. He’ll ride through areas south of the Intracoastal Waterway accompanied by his North Pole helpers and the Gulf Shores High School Steel Drum Band. You can track his ride on the website to be sure you get the best viewing spot.
Did you know Santa can skydive? See it for yourself at the annual Flora-Bama Santa Drop on December 11. The day begins with a variety of free kids’ activities and live holiday music, followed by a bold skydive by the big man himself. Once he lands on our sandy beaches, you can say hello and snap a photo completely free of charge!

Later that same day, head to LuLu’s for the famed restaurant’s annual Lighted Boat Parade. It’s a Christmas parade full of coastal style as brightly decorated boats make a holiday drive all the way to The Wharf. Stick around after the show to enjoy a host of festive activities!
Breakfast with Santa at the Erie Meyer Civic Center on December 21 is your last-minute chance to catch him before Christmas. Starting at 8 a.m., families will feast on a hearty breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs and pancakes as Santa makes his way around the meal. Admission is $5 and children under 3 are free.
